The All Progressive Congress has refused to accept and believe that it lost the Osun West senatorial by-election to the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, last Saturday.
The PDP’s candidate, Ademola Adeleke, won the election by a landslide, claiming 9 of 10 LGAs in the constituency.
However, the Acting Chairman of the APC in Ondo State Mr. Ade Adetimehin, didn’t see it as a loss for his party. According to him, APC won the election.
“The last Saturday Senatorial by-election in Osun West Senatorial District was between the APC and APC”, he claims on Monday at the party’s secretariat in Akure.
“The victory recorded in the election was not for the PDP but for the aggrieved members of the APC in the state”, he added.
Quite notably, he made the statement while receiving defectors from PDP to APC in the state
